SuidAkrA ist eine Celtic Metal-Band aus Deutschland, die 1994 gegründet wurde. Der Name "SuidAkrA" is der Vorname von Gründer Akadius Antoniks rückwärts geschrieben. Ihr lyrisches und musikalisches Konzept beschäftigt sich mit der keltischen Mythologie und in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem belgischen Künstler Kris Verwimp entsteht das lyrische Konzept und Gesamtkunstwerk. Nach 24 Jahren Bandgeschichte und 12 Studioalben sind SuidAkrA zu einem Flaggschiff der deutschen Metal-Szene geworden. In mehr als 500 Shows spielte die Band etliche Touren rund um den Globus. Sie spielten zahlreiche europäische Tourneen, 5 nordamerikanische Tourneen sowie in Südamerika, China, Indien, Taiwan und Japan. Nach einem Festival in der indischen Metropole, Bangalore im Jahr 2012, verbrachte Arkadius Antonik dort eine weitere Woche im Auftrag des deutschen Goethe-Instituts, um regionale musikalische Projekte zu unterstützen. Mit ihrer dritten indischen Tournee im Jahr 2014 wurde SuidAkrA die erste Metal-Band, die je in sechs verschiedenen Städten in Indien auftrat. Dies wurde von einem breiten Publikum und Medieninteresse begleitet, wie z.B. dem deutschen Sender ZDF, der eine Suidakra-Tour-Dokumentation in der Show "Aspekte" ausstrahlte. Die Band veröffentlichte im November 2024 ihr fünfzehntes Studioalbum "Darkanakrad". Das Album basiert auf einem Artwork / Soundtrack-Projekt, das im Mai 2013 von Kris Verwimp und Arkadius Antonik gestartet wurde .

SuidAkrA is a Celtic Metal band from Germany founded in 1994. The name „SuidAkrA“ is founder Akadius Antonik's first name written backwards. Their lyrical and musical concept deals with the Celtic mythology and stands in close collaboration with the Belgian artist Kris Verwimp, the creative head for the lyrical concept and artwork. After over 25 years of bandhistory and 15 studio albums, SuidAkrA has become a flagship in the German metal scene. In more than 500 shows, the band constantly played tours around the globe. They played numerous European tours, 5 North American tours as well as in South America, China, Japan, Taiwan and India. After a festival in the Indian metropolis, Bangalore in 2012, Arkadius Antonik spent a week on the behalf of the German Goethe institute to support regional musical projects. With their 3rd Indian tour in 2014 SuidAkrA became the first Metal band ever that performed shows in 6 different cities in India. This was accompanied by a large public and media interest, such as the german station ZDF that broadcasted a Suidakra tour documentary in ther show called „Aspekte“. The band released their 15th studioalbum called „Darkanakrad“ in November 2024. The album is based on an artwork / soundtrack project which was started by Kris Verwimp and Arkadius Antonik in May 2013.
